Home is not just bricks and cement, it's a lot more than that. Especially, for seniors as they spend most of their time inside the home. There are a lot of seniors who hesitate to leave their ancestral homes. It's mainly because home is a place that is filled with mixed up emotions. But as they age, things become out of control. As they might forget the way to the kitchen due to dementia, get hit on the door due to poor eyesight, physical injuries due to falls, etc. A few changes here and there with minimal add-ons can serve the purpose. Here are a few tips on how to make the bedroom more comfortable and safer for the seniors to move around.
1 . Proper bedding:
Make sure you purchase a bed with minimal height (or) adjustable height feature. As when seniors are on the edge of the bed they should be able to reach the surface of the floor with ease.
Make sure the cushion of the bed is soft and light for a smooth and comfortable move around.
While purchasing a bed with minimal height make sure you compensate it with the height of the mattress.
